BIRDSEYE MAPLE

Birdseye Maple

Handloggers’ Opinion
Birdseye maple is not for the conservative, “take no chances” kind of customer. The grain has little round circles that look like birds eyes on the surface of the floor. Each board in the floor will have a completely different smattering of these little bird’s eyes. If you’d like to make a statement with a floor, this is the floor for you!

Appearance
Closed grain, birdseye figuring may range from light to heavy, creamy white sapwood, light reddish brown heartwood.
Hardness/Janka: 1450 12% harder than red oak.
Grades available: 1st grade or white, 2nd grade or natural.
